Model scanned with iPad scanner. Cut in half and fixed in Meshmixer. 3D printed in ABS in 3 parts and then asembled with acetone. Other part was sculpted traditionally in clay. I started by putting clay next to model but realised that it was too easy to copy anatomy cordinates at such short distance. I continued sculpting away from 3D printed model, and was just looking in live person model. At the end i got a few mm taller model. Model height is around 350mm.
Idea was to compare posibilities of cheap scanner and me as sculptor. Result is that scanner is better in some disciplines, but at the end, it can not be compared to life that i can put inside clay.
